Coast ground doesn't behave the same way twice
Some lots along the Gulf Coast are sandy and drain fast. Others sit in heavy clay that holds water long after a storm has passed, and a lot of properties near the water have a high water table that stays close to the surface most of the year. That changes where a tank can sit, how deep it goes, and how the backfill needs to be handled so the tank doesn't shift or float once the ground around it saturates. A tank sized and placed without checking the ground first is a problem that shows up years later, usually the same week a family needed it to work.
Why sizing isn't a guess
Tank size follows the house, mainly bedroom count and how many people are actually running water through it, not a single standard size for every property. Setting a tank too small for the household means it fills faster than it should and gets pumped more often than it needs to. The goal on install day is a tank that matches the house it's serving and a line tied in clean, so the system runs the way it's meant to from the first day it's covered over.

A tank on its own only stores and settles waste. It's the field line that actually lets the water leave the system, and the two get planned together so the field line matches the tank instead of getting bolted on afterward.
